SEMANA 4 | WEEK 4

Durante a quarta semana de aula os alunos transferiram os desenhos de retrato para painéis de madeira. Começamos a olhar as sombras, cores e formatos nas fotos dos rostos. Os alunos também aprenderam a misturar cores para criar tons de pele.

During the fourth week of class students transferred their portrait drawings to wood panels. We began to look at color, shadow and shapes within the face photos. Students also learned how to mix colors to create skin tones.

Hoje nõs pintamos os desenhos, e algumas mas pessoas ainda estão desenhando. Também passamos os desenhos para a maderia. No fim algumas pessoas ajudaram a limpar a “bagunça.”

Today we painted our drawings and a few other people were still drawing. We also transferred our drawings to wood. At the end a few people helped clean the "mess."

Hoje nos aprendemos a passar o desenho para o quadro e pintimos os desenhos pela metade com tinta. A parte que eu mais gostei foi passar meu desenho para o quadro.

Today we learned how to transfer our drawings to a panel and painted half of the drawing with paint. The part that I liked the most was transferring my design to the panel.

SEMANAS 2 & 3 | WEEKS 2 & 3

Na segunda semana de aula nós começamos o nosso primeiro projeto, auto-retratos. Cada estudante recebu uma foto de si mesmo com uma sobreposição de um grid. Usando o sistema de grid os alunos ampliaram o auto-retrato. Esta atividade continuou a cultivar habilidades de observação e de abordagem de escala.

In the second week of class we began our first project, self portraits. Each student received a photo of themselves with a grid overlay. Using a grid system the students enlarged the photo. This activity continues to cultivate observation skills while beginning to address scale.

Nós aprendemos a fazer nossos rostos maiores. Aprendemos a desenhar a boca, olhos, nariz e etc. Começamos a fazer nosso quadro, tres vezes maior que a foto.

We learned how draw our faces larger. We learned how to draw our mouth, eyes, nose and etc. We started to make our board, three times larger then the photo.

Hoje nós aprendemos a nos desenhar vendo fotos assim apliamos as imagens nos desenhos.

Today we learned to draw ourselves looking at photos so that we could amplify the images for our drawings.

SEMANA 1 | WEEK 1

Nossa primeira semana de aula començou com a atividade de desenho cego de contorno, que introduz aous alunos o desenho da vida. O objetivo desta primeira atividade foi desenvolver habilidades de observação como um primeiro passo para cultivar habilidades de desenho e de representação.

Our first week of class began with and activity, blind contour drawing, which introduced students to drawing from life. The goal of this first activity was to develop observational skills as a first step to cultivating drawing and representational skills.

Hoje nós se conhecemos, vimos do que gostamos em Artes. Logo despois a prof. pediu para que nos desenha. Nós desenhamos a outra. Eu desenhe a Gaby e depois nós foi embora.

Today we got to know each other and talked about what we like about art. A bit later the teacher asked us to make drawings. We drew each other. I drew Gaby. After this we went home.

Hoje nos aprendemos a desenhar sem olhar no papel. Saiu cado desenho. Aprendemos que não pode olhar por baixo. Foi muito legal. Depois tiramos fotos e fomos embora.

Today we learned to draw without looking at the paper. Each drawing was different. We learned that we cannot look down. It was very cool. After this we took photos and went home.

Hoje nos aprendemos a desenhar sem olhar no papel só olhamos o rosto e colocamos no papel cada desenho que 6 pessoas fizeram não olham para baixo e tiramos fotos e fomos embora.

Today we learned to draw without looking at the paper, only looking at the face and putting it on the paper. Each of the six people did a drawing without looking down, took photos and went home.
