Our first week of class began with and activity, blind contour drawing, which introduced students to drawing from life. The goal of this first activity was to develop observational skills as a first step to cultivating drawing and representational skills.

Hoje nós se conhecemos, vimos do que gostamos em Artes. Logo despois a prof. pediu para que nos desenha. Nós desenhamos a outra. Eu desenhe a Gaby e depois nós foi embora.
Today we got to know each other and talked about what we like about art. A bit later the teacher asked us to make drawings. We drew each other. I drew Gaby. After this we went home.
Hoje nos aprendemos a desenhar sem olhar no papel. Saiu cado desenho. Aprendemos que não pode olhar por baixo. Foi muito legal. Depois tiramos fotos e fomos embora.
Today we learned to draw without looking at the paper. Each drawing was different. We learned that we cannot look down. It was very cool. After this we took photos and went home.
Hoje nos aprendemos a desenhar sem olhar no papel só olhamos o rosto e colocamos no papel cada desenho que 6 pessoas fizeram não olham para baixo e tiramos fotos e fomos embora.
Today we learned to draw without looking at the paper, only looking at the face and putting it on the paper. Each of the six people did a drawing without looking down, took photos and went home.
